Mario and Isabella – Days Out of the Womb

I’d forgotten how tiny a newborn baby can be. My photo sessions with cousins Mario and Isabella happened exactly when newborn photos should be taken – within the first 2 weeks of birth.

The cousins were born within a few days of each other – Mario is 10 days old in these photos (first couple photos); Isabella is 4 days old (3rd and 4th photos). Both displayed their share of painful cries, red faces, yawns, arm stretches, stares of wonderment and perfect sleep. And of course, no newborn session is complete without the photographer getting sprayed by a sudden fountain of pee. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable session – and probably made for less sleep for the little ones given they were excited about getting their closeups!
