At last, my love has come along…
Such was the theme to Paula and Matt’s wedding as they turned to each other, said their own vows and exchanged rings last week at Jumer’s Casino & Hotel in Rock Island.
Both waited a long time for this day to come, and it was filled with much joy and love.
Colorful and spirited is a great way to describe Paula – finely reflected in her choice of wedding colors worn by her bridesmaids.
Their proposal happened in St. Louis last year, during which Matt’s son Kieran asked Paula, “Will you marry us?”
The two made their late fathers an important aspect of their day, dedicating a slideshow in their memories as well as placing donation cards from the American Heart Association at all the tables.
One of the unique aspects of this wedding for me was having a studio corner for guests to have their photos taken. But we ended using it for everyone after a downpour prevented us from heading outdoors right away.
Of course, I was thrilled at the handful of guests who were willing to shed any formalities.
And now for dessert…
After the sky cleared enough to take some photos outside, we headed back indoors and the night went on with great music, good food and lots of love! Thank you, Paula and Matt for allowing me to be a part of your spectacular day!

How sweet is that proposal?!
Beautiful pictures! Love that silhouette dance shot!
Simply elegant and beautiful…that´s what your wedding was. These pictures make me smile. Can you say gorgeous couple? Kieran, I sure am glad they said “yes!”
Love to you from Cabo! Kimmie
