Hilarious Drama by the Shattock Schoole of Defence

This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph performances of the Shattock Schoole of Defence at Jubilee College Olde English Faire near Peoria. This Iowa City-based group of Renaissance-themed actors, comedians and swordfighters did a series of shows where killing people and comedy – thrown in with some hilarious drama and combat – made for some good family entertainment. Some of the Oscar-caliber moments were a scene from Romeo and Juliet (performed by Nate Mims and Adam Turner, respectively), and an intensely hilarious swordfight between Nika Niehaus and Nate Mims.
