Networking to Success Charity Business Show

This year I was fortunate to not only have participated – but be part of the planning committee that put together a first-time event in the Quad Cities – the Networking to Success Charity Business Show on Oct. 30. This event – also a fundraiser for the Children’s Therapy Center of the Quad Cities – was also a first showing for a handful of QC businesses that are exceptional not just in their line of work, but in their customer service. We had a handful of booths, speakers each hour as well as numerous raffle items. Putting together an event was due much to the efforts of Collette Lilly. And getting publicity for the event was no easy task when you’re competing with Halloween and a national election. But our grass-roots efforts from small businesses and small business owners paid off when the show was previewed on Paula Sands Live, and was featured as in The Dispatch newspaper.
